The totals cover use before the 12- or 24-month anniversary: a replacement due exactly on that date belongs to the next period. Buying spares early would move that payment forward.

Why One Replacement Per Year Does Not Mean One in Year One
The first head is already paid for. With a 12-month interval, Remington needs no additional head before month 12, then one at month 12 for the second year. The next purchase at month 24 is outside our 24-month window. If you want to include that anniversary purchase, add $34.99 to the relevant total.
For Skull Shaver, the six-month case buys heads at months 6, 12 and 18; the three-month case at 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 21. That is three versus seven paid replacements over two years, not four versus eight. The range follows different replacement schedules, not a measured spread in durability.
Use your own quote: total = device price + (whole replacements bought × single-refill price). For a fixed interval, divide the period by the interval, round up, then subtract the included head. Do not subtract another head unless your actual bundle includes an extra spare. An annualized wear allowance can help budgeting, but it is not the same as money paid during these windows.

Check before buying: the product page says three-year warranty, while its linked manual says five years and excludes cutters. Confirm the terms for your purchase rather than choosing it on an assumed warranty advantage.
Skull Shaver: Budget for the Shorter Interval Too
The base Pitbull Gold PRO includes its working Forte PRO 4 head. We use the $110.99 non-subscription variant, not a discounted subscription or extra-head bundle. The matching Forte PRO 4 refill is $34.99 without a subscription; support guidance gives a typical three-to-six-month life depending on use.
Tradeoff: up to 90 minutes of stated runtime and wet/dry use with IPX5 water resistance, but a larger refill allowance. Do not assume the six-month end will match your routine. The maker permits shower use, not submersion.
Philips: A Clear Refill Schedule, but Get the Device Quote
For HS9980/40, the manufacturer’s page did not show a direct device price. Its HS740/40 replacement showed $34.99 in the live browser and a six-month schedule. Add your exact device quote to the refill totals above; do not mistake the displayed accessory price for the shaver price.
Check before buying: compare the exact model and box contents. The advertised warranty extension requires registration within 90 days; it is not an unconditional five-year promise.
MANSCAPED: Charging Options, Uncertain Refill Timing
The Dome Shaver Pro lists USB-C and wireless charging support, up to 90 minutes of runtime and IPX7 protection. We use its regular $119.99 device price and $39.99 Pro pad price, not the cheaper Plus pad.
Budget gap: we did not find a replacement-life interval in the cited product information. Its three-month VIP delivery is for lotion and gel, not evidence that a blade lasts three months. If you personally needed one extra pad during a period, the modeled total would be $159.98; with three, $239.96. Those are examples, not a manufacturer schedule or a reason to delay a worn-pad replacement.
Freebird: Resolve the Refill Terms Before Comparing Totals
The FlexSeries Pro kit includes a working head. Its page describes up to 50 shaves; the Pro refill page describes more than 50, alongside replacement guidance in weeks. Those statements do not establish one consistent service life. We also could not confirm a like-for-like, single-refill, one-time US-dollar selection, so we have removed the former fixed annual estimate.
Illustration only: at exactly 50 shaves per head and two shaves a week, 104/208 shaves need two/four purchased refills after the included head. Your totals would be kit price + 2 × refill price and kit price + 4 × refill price. This is arithmetic, not verified durability or advice to ignore the maker’s calendar guidance. Check Pro compatibility, pack size and subscription selection before using any displayed price.
Check the Routine as Well as the Receipt
Before choosing, check the manual’s growth-length limit, cleaning steps, charging requirements and replacement-part code. A low device price loses its appeal if the right refill is difficult to obtain. Shipping on separate head orders and any extra bundled supplies also change what you actually pay.
